Few days back, one of my friend called up and said..theres a story writing competition happening in my office, i need your help ...100 words...the story should start with "The donkey brayed loud in my ear.." and end with "That ‘s all I want in my life.", .....And me being a natural story writer( all these skills were used to clear university exams) decided to help him out..and here goes the story...

The donkey brayed loud in my ear……………
and i suddenly realised that i am lying somewhere near a river...
when i opened my eyes, all i could see is, dhobies washing clothes and drying it on the riverbed...

wondering how i reached and all the events started to unfold one after another like a ppt....
being a captain of the Chemical cargo ship, the entire reponsibilty of transporting the 1000 billion worth of toxic chemicals and the safety of the crew was on my shoulders...It happened on a Saturday evening,after getting heavily drunk I was standing on the board,suddenly a heavy wave hit me and I fell into the cold sea.

I felt like thousand needles piercing my body, with all my ability I struggled to stay on the sea surface, within few minutes my ship moved out of my sight, darkness surrounded me.Within few metres I saw something moving swiftly towards me, inspite of swimming I kept my fingers crossed, praying it shouldnt be a shark or whale.

Luck was on my side even at that point of time, it turned out to be a Dolphin, I got hold of its fin and it started to move fastly away from the place. After few minutes I lost my consciousness and now I find myself on this riverbed.

I walked towards the dhobi and asked him “Which place is this”
He looked at me astonished.
He repled “th ist hecon fer en cero omwa keup”
I thought I was lost in someother planet.

But he repeated shaking my body, “This is the conference room,wake up ” .
I was relieved to find I am still in the conference room and the donkey braying was none other than the trainer. Had a nice nap during the training and That ‘s all I want in my life.

Timeless lesson on how consultants can make a difference for an organization.

Last week, we took some friends out to a new restaurant, and noticed that the waiter and all other staffs carried a spoon in his shirt pocket.

When the waiter came to serve our soup I asked, "Why the spoon?"

"Well, "he explained, "the restaurant's owners hired Andersen Consulting to revamp all our processes. After several months of analysis,they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil.

It represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour. If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift."

As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he was able to replace it with his spare. I was impressed.

I also noticed that there was a string hanging out Of the waiter's fly. Looking around, found that all the waiters had the same string hanging from their flies. So before he walked off,

I asked, "Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right there?"

"Oh, certainly!" Then he lowered his voice. "Not everyone is so observant. That consulting firm also found out that we can save time in the restroom. By tying this string to the tip of you know what, we can pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands, shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39 %.

I asked "After you get it out, how do you put it back?"

"Well," he whispered, "I don't know about the others, but I use the spoon."

Robert Lingam I.P.S (Captain) visits Madurai to deliver a lecture in college about public safety. The head pujari of Meenakshi temple is murdered. Pujari's grand daughter Mahalakshmi (Sneha) had just returned from USA with a degree in cryptology, symbology, singing and group-dance. She cuts short her weekend trip to Chennai and returns to Madurai upon the murder.

She meets Commissioner Lingam at the murder site and together embarkto solve the murder and in the process "witness the biggest cover up in Hindu history". "My 'Thaatha' used to insist that me and my brother play hide and
seek inside the temple", said Mahalakshmi.

i was very eager to talk to him...suddenly saw him leaving his table and walking out...i followed him..

he went to the loo...thought i will get hold of him there and talk....but ...he pissed and i got pissed off...

Back to Ball room : after sipping down 2 glasses of wine...walked across to him...told him i am his greatest fan..he stood up and shaked hands with me,gave a short pep talk...it lasted for 2-3 minutes but its frozen forever...
